New year. New neighborhood. New city. New season. The Royal Family just moved to their new home, The Windsor
Palace Tower. And in the midst of unpacking, sorting and decluttering; the Queen found her old, shabby diary.

“I’ve been thinking lately if, yes, am I ready?” +
I was 21 years old then. “…Young, still young according to the world’s standards to settle down and heed the call of being a wife.” + King and I were time zones apart; we weren’t engaged yet, but I knew, I just knew precisely where our relationship was heading – MARRIAGE! (Yes, relationships should have clarity!) It was exactly a year before we got married and it was the day I knew I was ready.
How did I exactly arrive to that conclusion? I secretly took a challenge to look at Proverbs 31 in a fresh angle and see how the so-called “Proverbs 31 Wife” lived her life for God and her family. I had questions, sure. But, I was certain (and still am) that “God has a plan, and He will put me where I will bloom and be effective in what I will do.” +
So today, I’m just wondering, maybe there’s a reason why this 7-year-old journal appeared from nowhere. Maybe there are some young women out there who were like me, and are already thinking about settling down and building a family early. Or maybe some women who might be simply at their crossroads. Or maybe I just need to be reminded again. But whatever it is, my hope is that you and I will be able to know ourselves and God better through my 21-year-old thoughts.
JOIN ME in the next 4 weeks as I attempt to revisit my journey, and uncover truths and revelations that I’m sure are still applicable today. I hope that this series will lead to a year, an entire lifetime, of change, and “prepare me (and you) for a greater gain and help us become that blooming Proverbs 31 Wife (or woman) of Noble Character.” +
